Orbi Not Recognizing MySecurity Answers

For some reason my login password is not working so I have tried to change it using my serial number but the answers to my security questions are not recognized either.  I have not changed them from when I first set them up so not sure why I am having this problem.  Any suggestions?

If you didn't setup the security questions, it still asks even though there isn't a correct answer. Plus they're case sensitive.

If you can't get in that route, you'd need to factory reset and reinstall to get back in.

I forgot to mention, when I enter my answers with the correct spelling, the caps change to lower case when I tab to the next field or press enter.  Toget around that, I have typed it in a document and cut and pasted but still no luck.  But why would the program act like that?

  • I have the answers written down and thinking maybe I did/didn't capitalize them as written, so I tried it with various configurations but no luck.

      Hello EvenMag,

      Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

I understand that you are not able to use your security questions to gain access to your Orbi Mesh system. In this case, you will need to reset your Orbi router to gain access to your system (as mentioned by plemans).

      Best,

Truly a frustrating experience.  In my case, the two hours it required to enter all the configuration changes that had been made over the years prompted me to save a copy of the configuration so that if this happens again all that can be reloaded quickly.  (Now, if I could just remember to save a configuration every time I make changes to the configuration!)

Sadly if the recovery questions don't work, you'd need to reset to get back in.
