How to use the ethernet port on orbi satellite of RBK753S-100NAS

I have the system RBK753S-100NAS just set up with one route (RBR750) and two satellites. The three are connected wirelessly with good connection. I connect a NAS on one of the satellite through its ethernet port, but cannot see it on the network. I searched online but cannot find clear information how to use the ethernet port on the Satellite. It seems like that in order to use the ethernet port on the satellite, the satellite has to be connect to the route by wire. is it correct? Thanks.

  • Ok, just checking.

Please remove any static IP address configurations on the NAS and set Dynamic or Auto obtain IP address configuration on the NAS.

No, this is definitely not correct.

Does the Orbi web interface Attached Devices screen not show the NAS as connected?

I believe the power is referencing the RBS model# which includes a NG-NAS nominclature that refers to a marketing region that differs from NAS being Network Access Storage.

Yes, I cannot see the NAS on the Netgear home page of the router, neither of the satellite. Thanks.

Can you see the NAS unit when it's connected to the RBR?

Seen others post about having the NAS connected to the RBS and they can't see it. Mines not connected to the RBS, rather behind the RBR.

I moved to the route and I can see it now. But it is not stable, sometimes disappeared then appeared again. One thing I noticed is its IP address: 10.0.0.200, not the one 192.168.1.x. Is this a problem? How do I force it to change the IP address to 192.168.1.x? Thanks.
