Main 960 in AP Mode doesn't show Satellites in Attached Devices over enet
I've been using my 960 in Router mode with two satellites backhauled over ethernet, and everything was working great. I could see the satellites in the attached devices. I switched over to using the main 960 to AP Mode, and I had to re-sync the satellites via wireless. They both showed up in attached devices, and got there configuration.
However when I moved the satellites to the remote locations with an ethernet backhaul (same as before) they do not show up as attached devices. I can log into their IP addresses and they show they are working with connected devices, however the main 960 shows NO satellites. If I remove the ethernet backhaul, they show up again, and when reconnected to ethernet, they go away.
If they are working, I guess this is fine however I assume they won't get automatic firmware updates since the main AP is no longer seeing them as connected. This seems like really weird behavior and I've done factory resets and the end result is the same.
Interestingly my iPhone ORBI app DOES show them in the Network Map, just the Main's AP Attached Devices shows no Satellites in the Basic Home Screen, no on the attached devices and all are on the most recent firmware!

Yes, this appears to be happening on the Forum now. Annoying

They are all connected to the switch and I think you are saying they have to be connected to the RBR? That isn't a great scenario since I have a 2.5Gb internet connection, and only ONE of the RBS could connect to 2.5Gb to the RBR, the other would be stuck with 1Gb since that is all the ports that are left.
I just tried your suggestion and sure enough they show up in attached devices now!!!! The challenge is one of the AP's is running 1Gb on the backhaul so I'm losing 1.5Gb to the Internet by requiring it to go through the RBR.... Ugh Can't say I am happy about this but have them as "peer" ethernet connections is challenging since config changes, firmware updates, etc aren't seen and I guess I question if the mesh aspect would work.
Any other suggestions or am I basically screwed because the RBR doesn't have more 2.5Gb ports?
PS: I tired to upload a diagram but I kept getting a "Media Upload in progress, try again later" and they the images aren't that big so I gave up...

Where is this switch connected?
What is brand and model# of this switch?
If you get a 2.5Gb supporting non managed switch connected at the RBR, then you can connect all RBS to this switch and will get 2.5Gb rates to the RBS.

I will give that a try this weekend and report back, and curious what is it about a managed switch that causes the problem? I am using a low-end Netgear managed switch and like many wanted to keep the brand consistent to avoid problems like this.

How are the RBS ethernet connected to the RBR? Any LAN switch in between the RBR and RBS or is RBS ethernet connected to the host router?
RBS require being connected directly behind the RBR, Even if a LAN switch is in the mix, the connection path needs to be behind the RBR, router or AP mode as seen here: https://kb.netgear.com/000051205/What-is-Ethernet-backhaul-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Orbi-WiFi-System📡 ‌‌🛰️
