Time to "Bite the Bullet". Orbi RBR750 and RBS750 on v7.2.7.15.
- Download v7.2.8.5 from Netgear and extracted chk files.
- Connect to RBS750 web page and manually upload satellite firmware.
- Notice that after updating, the web page woill no longer connect to the satellite by IP address and the router shows the satellite as Disconnected.
(which is expected since they are now on different firmware releases) - Navigate on RBR750 to Firmware Update, Manual and browse to router firmware.
(ignore the Netgear message warning that manual firmware updates are risky and recommendation to use Automatic - which does not find this firmware) - After router reboots, both router and satellite show firmware v7.2.8.5
- Connected router and satellite with Ethernet cable. Attached Devices display now shows 'wired'.

Something I do when manually updating FW on Orbi systems and does work, After you send any FW to the RBS, after you see the progress circle appear and begin progressing, you don't have wait for the RBS to complete, I go in and send the RBR FW file to it and let it start processing it. Both can be FW updated close to the same time, just as long as you send the RBS files first. Once the RBR is ready, I see the RBS is just getting ready and as well and soon appears on the RBRs web page and maybe takes a few more seconds and the sync fully completes. I generally do a full power OFF of the system for 1 minute then back ON then continue. Ya you got to be patient though.
