Orbi CBR750 Power Supply
The power adaptor for my Orbi 750 modem/router is rated 19v/3.16a. I plan to replace it with a 15v/3.5a power supply. Will this be a problem?
Hello plemans,
Thank you for your reply. I was under the impression that he was talking about the RBR750. The correct power rating for the CBR750 adapter that comes in the box is 19V/3.16A. The best practice is to keep the power adapter rating equivalent to the rating of the power adapter distributed by the manufacturer.

Thank you for your post!
The recommended power adapter for your RBR750 is 12V, 3.5A DC output.

Yours is the CBR750? (you said modem/router combo device but not a model)
might have the 19V version versus the 12v that KevinLiT listed. Not sure as I don't have one to compare it to but many times the combo devices use the 19v standard (my cax80 does). Maybe FURRYe38 could chime in since he has a CBR750.If it is 19v, don't use a 15v adapters. You should use a 19v one. Your device won't work with lower voltage and that can create instabilities if it does to even wrecking the device. Voltage is one of those things you should have the exact same on. Amperage you can have more (not less) and it still work fine.

Please keep the same rated Volts and Amps power adapter for the CBR750. Less volts means it won't work right.

Thanks for the information. My CBK752 needs a 19V adapter. I did more research and I do need a 19V power supply. 15V will not work.
Glad you looked at yours for the proper voltages.
Is there a reason you want to replace it?
I was planning to try a IFI iPower x charger to filter out digital noises, but the company does not make a 19V one. This is supposed to improve the streamer sound for my audio system.
