orbilogin.com "admin" pop-up not there

My internet was getting a little slow and lagged at times. So, I went to at AT&T's website and used the "Restart Gateway" option. I have the Motorola BGW210-700. No problem! Internet is running fine!

Knowing that AT&T U-Verse can be a bit wonky with my Orbi RBR750, I wanted to make sure that none of the settings got reset or messed up.

However, when I attempt to login into orbilogin.com the pop-up does not appear so that I can enter the "admin" username and password (which I do not remember". It just goes to https://www.netgear.com/home/services/orbilogin/ . I am using Safari. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Or better yet, does the "Restart Gateway" option reset anything? Do I even need to be worrying about this?

  • Are you trying to access orbilogin.com or 192.168.1.1?

    What browser are you using?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

FYI, Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
    https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
    Couple of options,
    1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
    2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
    3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

I would try option #2 first.

      • I am trying to access orbilogin.com
      • I am using Safari
      • I don't know what firmware I have. How would I check that?
      • Seeing that a double NAT was ill-advised, I thought I set it up as an access point (several months ago) but I'll do the troubleshooting tips and see if I can fix it. Hindsight being 20/20, I wish I'd tried logging into orbilogin.com prior to "Restarting the Gateway"

Try Firefox or Opera and 192.168.1.1 and see if you can access the RBRs web page.
