Possible bricked Satellites after downgrading from v4.6.7.5 to v 4.6.3.16
Hello,
Since upgrading to the experimental firmware here, I've had a lot of issues with high latency and packet loss on my WAN (ping times jump to over 17 seconds for the next hop for 1-2 seconds every hour, which has always been < 1 ms with the same hardware). As a result, I decided to downgrade from experimental firmware v4.6.7.5 to the last released firmware v4.6.3.16. I have 3 satellites, so I performed my upgrade in the following order.
1) Downgrade my satellite "living room"
2) Downgrade my satellite "garage"
3) Downgrade my satellite "office"
4) Downgrade my RBR850 Router
After downgrading each satellite, it would not appear in the list of synced satellites. I assumed this was due to a protocol version mismatch after the downgrade, so I proceeded to downgrade all 3 satellites.
After downgrading the router, I'm unable to connect any of my satellites. The router is the only functioning unit, and it has a slow flashing white light. All of the satellites have the same flashing slow light.
I've tried doing the factory reset outlined in this video. However, once the LED starts flashing red, I release the paper clip and it immediately goes back to green light on the power input, with the slow flashing light on the front. Given that I can't connect to any of my satellites, I can't put v4.6.7.5 back on, so I'm not sure how to proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What happens if you ethernet connect 1 of the RBS to the back of the RBR? Does it show on the RBRs web page?
Can you connect to the RBRs web page after it was factory reset?

Thanks for the help! I have a somewhat naeive question... Which port is port 1? There aren't any numbers in the LAN ports. Is it the port closest to the power plug, or the port closest to the sync button? The manual here doesn't really have that information either.
FURRYe38 isn't meaning port 1. Just to connect it to one of the ports.
Any of them should work with a wired backhaul.
- KMDonlonVirtuosoI was able to get my satellite up and running multiple times after playing around with the different firmware versions following these instructions:
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP- NGSvenskApprentice
I have the same thing happening with a downgrade! I cannot do a factory reset on my satalite. Is it same procedure with the TFTP program RBS? Which port is port 1? Because it looks like I cannot factory reset my RBS, the ip address is .42 instead of .1 but I tired both. What firmware were you able to bring it back up with?
- KMDonlonVirtuosoI used v. 4.6.3.16... saved a copy for the RBS on my laptop, plugged it in via an Ethernet cable to my laptop only, not the RBR and was able to get satellite to come back (blue ring after pulsing white) following the instructions to the letter. Did it 5 or so times without issue.

I have the exact same problem and posted about it here . I've tried pretty much everything and all of my satellites still have the flashing white status light and appear to be in a reboot loop. I attempted to downgrade via nmrpflash and although it appeared to be successful based on the console output there was no change once I rebooted the satellite. I guess I should try to get an RMA started at this point. I've moved on to a Ubiquiti setup, but it would be nice if I could get these working and sell or gift them to someone. When they work they're great, but the bugs and connectivity issues have been frustrating.
I recommennd you contact NG support and ask about RMA options.

How do I go about doing that? I purchased them in August of last year. When I view my NG account the support options for my RBR853 are basically post here, purchase new hardware or purchase a support contract. I tried the first option and the other two are not happening. If I go to the "Contact Us" page and try to open a support case I only get knowledgebase suggestions and a link to purchase a support contract. The phone support options say "Create a case before calling". My free tech support ran out in November, though it does show that they're covered by the hardware warranty until August 2022.
