RBR850 Does not accept 5ghz connections . All 5ghz connections go to satellite
RBR850 Does not accept 5ghz connections . All 5ghz connections go to satellite (RBS850), regardless of distance .
Distance between router and satellite is about 17 feet .
Size of house is about 2000 sq ft
Firmware is 3.2.16.22

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Turn OFF the RBS for a bit. Does RBR accept connections then?
17Feet to too close between the RBR and RBS. 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
Also there is newer FW available as well:
- I installed the latest firmware and unplugged the satellite . No dice , no 5ghz connections on the router .
I also used the airport utility on my iPhone and I do not see any signal with the channel in using for 5ghz.
