RBR850 in AP mode and 4 RBS850 hardwired via Router.
I have an RBR850 in AP mode and four RBS850 to create an wifi 6 mesh network. De RBS850/RBR850 are all hardwired (port one) via a switch (Ubiquity). Firmware: V3.2.17.12_1.4.14 on all of the devices. I can edit all devices via the webinterface so they are visable. Satellites are visable as "wired" in the webinterface of the RBR850. It indicates in basic mode there is internet. It shows the satellites and mentions 43 devices on the network. In the advanced mode it indicates it has not network when I ask to check for new version for all units.
The problem: When I change a setting on the RBR850, like changing a security option is will not update the satillites. You cannot change the settings on each satellite via their own webinterface. You can only view them.
The question: How do I update the RBS850 satillites to the settings of the RBR850? Can you force it somehow?
Please help some one?
Thank you for your reply. Looks like the update within the network of Orbi will only work if the backhaul is connected wireless. The moment I disconnected the cables on all the units it performed the updates. I did bring them a bit closer to the RBR to make sure the connection was stable. They are all working now with an updated setting. I assumed that the update of all the units from the RBR would be better in de wired mode, so I did not even consider going back to wireless. It is a bit of a pain to do it this way. I have the units across my property and not only in the house but also in the outbuildings. They cover a total area of about 1000 m2. (almost 11.000 ft2. Wireless backhaul does work but is a bit unreliable on the units which are the furthest away, so I switched to wired. Again, thank you for your reply. H

How long are you waiting before checking the RBSs web pages for any security changes?
What security setting are you changing?

After applying the change the RBS should update, however try powering 1 RBS OFF for 15 seconds then back on. GIve it a few minutes then check the 1 RBS web page to see if it updated.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last update?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)?- hansgmailcomAspirant

Update? What update are you referring too?
Didn't you say FW was udpated on all units already?
