Hi, If I backup my Orbi RBR850 and then do a factory reset, what configuration information will be restored to my system when I restore my backup. I can't find anything to say that all my DHCP r...

Yes, when a backup configuration is loaded, everything returns.
WiFi credentials (SSID/password)
LAN Setup (IP assignments)
Channel assignments
OpenVPN configuration
.... everything.

Thanks.
I wanted to be sure as I need to update my firmware and every time I do it it my Orbi continually drops connection to my ISP around every 24 hours and I have to reboot it to get things working again. This has been happening since the the 7.2.x firmware has been released so I'm currently running on 4.6.14.3_2.3.12 which has been stable but is missing all the latest security fixes.
I will give it a go

The discussion has not mentioned any satellites. With the AX product, it is essential to update firmware on the satellites first and the router last.
If after updating the firmware to the latest release, v7.2.7.15, you determine that this problem still exists, then you can manually install the version 4 firmware on the satellites and then the router. Unless the router has been Factory Reset, the configuration should remain fine.

I have several satellites and I have follow the correct process many times in my attempt to update the firmware to the latest version. I never have an issue doing the update on the satellites and router and after updating things works great for about 24 hours and then I get disconnected from my ISP and I have to reboot the NBN modem (I am in Australia and we have NBN who provide a modem to connect your property to the national internet infrastructure which allows an ISP to connect you to the internet). This has happened with every version since Netgear release the 7.2.x firmware updates.
So now I am at the point where I will attempt to do a factory reset on my router and satellites to see if that makes a difference. If not I will revert back to the version I am currently running and look to buy something other than Netgear as I can see in the Community posts that I am not the only person that is experiencing this issue - see the followng link as a good example

Please review this to manually update a Orbi system, works well:

For any odd issues seen after a FW update, please try a factory reset to see if this resolves issues first:
