Firmware V9.10.4.1_1.1.17 killed satellites

I have an Orbi 970 and two satellites. Today I did the usual firmware update I have been doing every few weeks which normally goes fine but today, after the firmware update my two satellites never reconnected.

I even tried removing them from my system and setting them up again as new but they will not connect. I also tried holding the reset button down on the back of the satellites but that doesn't seem to really do anything.

When I try to add the satellite back to my system it goes through the steps but then says it can't find it.

Anybody else having this issue with the firmware update from today?

  • Try ethernet connecting the RBS to the RBR?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)?

Thanks for the reply. Connecting the main router to the satellites via Ethernet is not an option right now.

The house is small. I can't give numbers but it's not a large house and until today, everything worked great.

I've done a handful of updates since getting this unit and the two satellites and today's update is the first time there has been an issue.

As a quick test you can take one of the RBS and ethernet connect it to the back of the RBR and see if it updated.

Do you know what version of FW that was on the system prior?

If you can get the home size in sq ft will be helpful. Too small of a home, may only need one RBS vs two.
