When I was on GFibers 8/8 gig plan their router's speed test netted 8/8 each way the Orbi 970 would only go 7.5/7.3
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.GFibers is the ISP you are with?
I presume you are speed testing with a ethernet connected PC capable of also high connection rates, i.e. 10Gb?
What was speed results seen at the PC and when using the RBR onboard speed test app?

Yes testing with ethernet and yes my equipment in here is capable of 100Gbs the switch connected to the router is a Netgear XS508M.
