orbi 970
Need help my orbi 970 router speed is slow but when i plug my ethernet to my modem to see what see if it my modem but it not the speed on my modem is at the speed i parid for. I didnt have this problem when i first got the orbi 970 but weeks later i went from 2.4gbps down and 75 up to 9mbps down and 2 mbps up. I tried everything i know, rebooting, factory reset, unplug the modem and the router for 5min, make sure my firmware are up to date which it is (v9.12.53_1.3.24). I used the chat support on thr orbi app the get some help but even me and the associate are lost we change some seetting on the orbi site where you use your admin log in but still nothing so im here waiting for a phone from them cus that what she said to expect for the nect 24-48hrs so if anyone can help please it means alot

Yes, that is the first step in troubleshooting internet speed issues:
- connect a computer with an Ethernet adapter directly to the ISP device (modem, fiber ONT, etc.) and run Ookla Speed Test (either the app or the web site).
- reconnect the Orbi RBRE971 router to the ISP device and perform a Speed Test on the router, using either the web interface or the Orbi 'app'.
- The results should be similar. (perhaps not exactly the same, but "close")
You are fortunate to have a computer with an Ethernet adapter capable of 2.5Gbps speed.
The most common step two is to reboot everything. (ISP device, Orbi router.) Typically that resolves the issue at least temporarily. That speed remains so slow is troubling.
Step three is a Factory Reset.
While waiting for Netgear support (a call back on the weekend? wow!) It might be helpful to perform that Step one test again. (direct connect to ISP device).
Who is your ISP?
What is the brand and model# of the ISP modem or ONT that the RBR is connected too?
Be sure your using good quality LAN cable between the ISP equipment and the RBR. CAT6A STP is recommended.
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, IPv6, Protection Engine, Traffic Meter.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
