Orbi RBE360 and Epson ET-3958
After spending way too much time with Epson tech support, I was told that even though their printer was compatible with 5gHz or 2.4gHz, it does not play nice with mesh router systems. Their suggestion was to use a LAN cable to connect the printer directly to the main unit of the Orbi.
In my situation, it is not really workable as I cannot locate the printer where I can also run a cable.
Any other ideas?

I bought a cheap TP-Link WiFi Extender with an Ethernet port. The extender plugged into a wall outlet 4ft from the printer.

Seems like if the printer has a Ethernet port, connect it up to the RBR or RBS directly and point your printer drivers to it's given IP address here.
Ethernet cables come in many lengths.
Thats got an older wifi 5 chip in it. Some had issues with AX much less BE. I can't remember if that version of orbi has an IoT option. If it does, set that up with wpa2 only mode. see what happens. You should have wpa2/wpa3 mixed mode running for wifi security.

Same radios for the IoT network, just individual settings for SSID, band, shared key. In case the issue is really an interop issue with AX or BE, you will see...

If you can connect to a satellite instead, then try that.
FWIW, we have two epson printers (different models) that work well when connected to our Orbi wifi.
A solution which has worked for others is to purchase an inexpensive WiFi extender, which offers two alternatives:
- Connect the extender to the Orbi system and connect the Epson printer to an Ethernet plug on the extender.
- Connect the extender to the Orbi system and create a 2.4G network on the extender with a unique name (SSID). Connect the Epson printer to that unique WiFi network.
