Purchased RBE771 and RBE770 as a set in October 2024

Purchased RBE771 and RBE770 as a set in October 2024.  Satellite started disconnecting from router in August 2025.  These are the first issues I've had with a Netgear satellite repeatedly disconnecting.  Seems to happen weekly.Satellite is 10 feet from the router on the floor above in a wood-framed home with gypsum board walls.  There was no problem with the satellite connection prior.  Have purchased and used three other Netgear mesh WIFI products in this same location configuration since February 2020. This is the first issue I've had with a satellite repeatedly disconnecting.  Seems to happen weekly.  The satellite shows a purple light.  This set was not cheap and shouldn't be malfunctioning less than a year after purchase.  Unable to return or replace due to Netgear warranty policy.  Surely Netgear doesn't expect customers to spend $450 every year for a new mesh WIFI system?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?

10 feet is too close to between the RBS and RBR. 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected. And regardless of prior experieces.

Please move the RBS out to 30 feet from the RBR.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply.  The firmware is up to date for the router and satellite and the modem and router are working fine.  There isn't a reference to minimum distance between the router and satellite in the Netgear documentation for this product or in the information contained in the link you provided.  The Netgear troubleshooting procedure says to move the satellite to the same room as the router, so I don't think the distance between the router and satellite are the issue.

And regardless of prior experiences. There used to be a KB article about distances but NG took it down from unknown reasons. So these are valid and current recommended starting distances between the RBR and RBS.
