RBR850 no admin access
I am having the same issues as many others. Both the Orbi App for iOS and desktop PC web browser cannot connect to the RBR850 for admin access. I have confirmed the default gateway ip via command prompt ipconfig. I have confirmed the router is online via ping. It is also paired with a CM2000, so all of the WiFi in the house is going through the Orbi. It is online.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling the iOS app, power cycling the modem and router, attempting connect anywhere and a few other things.
In threads on here, I have seen support from Christine pushed for this exact issue when she received a DM with the serial number. However, all of those threads are closed (2021/2022), and Christine is retired. I can link the thread if need be.

Was connection possible before, but is no longer working? (i.e. this is a change)
"Cannot connect" means:
- More than one web browser returns an error when attempting to open the gateway IP address? or
- The web page appears, but the user is unable to log in?
p.s. Anywhere Access can be enabled only when the Orbi app is connected to the router. Once it has been enabled, then the app is supposed to be able to connect to the router from "anywhere" (literally). If the app will not connect, there is no way to enable Anywhere Access.

Hi,
Thank you for your response. Yes, connection to the admin page was previously possible. I have not attempted to connect to it in quite some time (I would guess a year), so I am unsure when this problem started."Cannot connect" means that on a desktop (Chrome, Edge) when entering the default gateway ip (or going through routerlogin.net or orbilogin.net), I receive the message "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED". On the iOS Orbi App, the app states "issue connecting with 'WifiName'" (it suggests I enable local network which is already enabled, and to check the WiFi connection). When I do connect anywhere, it does show the RBR750 and its serial number with a green light next to it but states "device is offline".

One more update: Chrome reports ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED, and PowerShell can successfully ping 192.168.1.1 while TCP connections to both ports 80 and 443 fail.

Does this happen on both the WiFi connection as well as when connecting direct to one of the Ethernet LAN ports?FURRYe38 wrote:
You may need to factory reset the RBR and setup from scratch with a ethernet connected PC.
If every kind of data path access is not workable, there is no other way but factory reset your Orbi system, and reconfigure (Wireless SSID, WiFi security and password). To avoid reconfiguring all connected devices like wireless printers or IOT, put in the same config data again. This includes re-adding the Netger account to bring up Anywhere Access again.

Try a different browser? MS Edge or Firefox?
You may need to factory reset the RBR and setup from scratch with a ethernet connected PC.
Brand and model # of ISP modem or ONT the RBR is connected too?
