Slow Wired Speeds for Orbi 770

Got a new Orbi 770 Mesh Network with 3 Satellites.  The output of the wired 2.5 GB ports is around 100Mbs. Received a replacement router from Netgear.  Same problem. My router speed tests from the Orbi app yield about 1.4 Gbs. I am at a loss. I spent hours on the phone with Netgear. Any suggestions

  • What wired devices are you connecting to the RBR unit? Brand and model.

Does this happen with any ethernet device?

Ensure the devices are connecting at 1000Mpbs to the back of the RBR. Check this by logging into the RBRs web page and navigate to the Advanced tab then select Show stats. Look at the LAN ports listed here and see what the connection rate is seen here with the device connected to the LAN ports.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

I have tried  my Imac and and numerous 1 gb Apple tvs, plugged directly into the router,  The wan shows 2500 full and the lan ports show 1000 full.

I have the lastest firmware juts released in the last few days installed.  I have tried it with Armour on and off.

Details are important.  "just under 100Mbps", such as 92Mbps or 94Mbps is often a sign that the Orbi LAN port and device Ethernet port have negotiated a speed of 100Mbps/Full Duplex.  "just over 100Mbps", such as 102Mbps are an indication that this is not the problem.

FURRYe38 's advice to check the Show Statistics information is the correct first step.
