Frequent disconnects with Nighthawk AX6 AX5400

We upgraded our router this past summer. Before confronting the ISP I wanted to see if there was a way to verify that there is no problem with the wifi router. Here is a log from today on the disconnects.

  • The reset didn't solve it, so I let Spectrum know about the frequent disconnects to see what they would say. They looked at the information and sent a technician out to investigate and found that the feed was too strong/high so the modem was cutting out once in a while causing us to lose internet. He added a piece to throttle down the signal and it has been working well.

Thanks for all the help from the community - I really appreciate it!

  • Which device do you own?  AX5400 is not a model number.

That is not a unique Netgear model number. Many devices come with the AC/AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and others, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the Model Number. And, if there is one, include the "V" bit to show the hardware version. If there is no V number, then you have V1.

    Something like RAX##?

Modem only device, no router component to get in the way.
