Internet not working

So I have the RAX50v2, the internet used to be fine however recently only the floor its on has internet (ground) and the kitchen (floor 1). However very bad internet in the living room (also floor 1) and very bad on floor 2 as a whole. What may be the cause and solution?

Have you done anything to try and fix it?  If so, what?

Has anything physically changed in the home (new layout, remodeling, etc)?

One scenario is that a neighbor upgraded their wifi and that might have created interference for you.   There are some apps that can be use to check for this (unfortunately no free ones for iPhone)

Hmm, nothing has changed in the house, it just recently stopped working suddenly. However I have noticed that sometimes the 5g option isn’t visible to connect to for some devices (such as my phone or the pc) but is available for the TV. I have tried resetting the device. The app is also the latest version (if that helps at all).

    What size is the home?

What materials separates the walls/floors (some materials block wifi better)

Did you test 2.4ghz and 5ghz speeds? 2.4ghz is much slower and sensitive to interference.

Hey, it’s not a very large house, it’s a three story townhouse, the exact numbers I can’t remember. It used to work though. The internet is only alright near the stairs leading  to floor 1 and ground floor, as replied above I’m not sure why but it only shows the normal internet (no 5g) for certain devices. I’ve done the speed test on the app, and download is 523, upload is 54.

Is this about the level of service you are paying for?

Are you sure those devices support 5 ghz?

When did you purchase the router?  It is possible that the radio is starting to fail (hopefully not the case).

Another possibility is that a neighbor has installed something that is interfering with your wifi.

There are some free wifi analyzers out there (particularly for Android, but also some for Windows).  Unfortunately, none I know of for iOS.  Can you download one, and let us know what it shows?

Support does cost $ after a certain period. But if it turns out to be a hardware issue, you can get it refunded.

Before I"d try that though, I'd just try a scorched earth tactic and just factory reset it. Reset it by pushing and holding reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on. Then reinstall it. Don't use a backup in case its a setting issue.

I'd start there as usually support makes you try that step
