Netgear Nighthawk AX2400 RAZ30-100NAS

I know very little about what I'm about to ask.

Is there a way to turn off the 5G and just use the 2.4G ?

If your model has a physical button for 5 GHz, you can use that.

If Texas1958 owns the RAX30, and not a RAZ30 (which doesn't seem to exist), then there is indeed a button/LED on the top to turn off the 5 GHz wifi.

Manuals are always a good place to start.

      Visit the support pages:

Feed in the model number and check the documentation for the hardware.

Look for the model number on the label on the device.

Check the section in the manual Top panel LEDs and buttons

  • My questions is more directed at why you want to turn it off?

5ghz doesn't interfere with 2.4ghz and is significantly faster. Why are you wanting it disabled?

      That did occur to me.

I wondered if it was someone trying to setup an IoT device.

If you are plagued by a badly written mobile app that can't work with a Mesh syustem that uses the same SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHz temporarily turning off 5 GHz can be useful.

Otherwise it is probably a bad idea.
