Nighthawk AX6 AX4300: external HD connected to Readyshare USB keeps disconnecting, won't reconnect

I have a Nighthawk AX6 AX4300 6-Stream WiFi router (RAX45) with a USB port.  I have connected an external hard drive to the USB port so I can access media content through the WiFi.  When the router initially boots up, it connects to the external hard drive.  However, after a period of time, it looses the connection and can't find the //readyshare server.  The only way to have it reconnect is to unplug the router and have it cycle.  It then only stays connected for a short period before disconnecting again.

Any suggestions / configuration changes that will keep the router from loosing connectivity to the external drive, or at least be able to reconnect to the USB port without having to restart the router?

Thanks!!

        Hi,

Any suggestions a resolution to this issue?  Is there a limitation on my nighthawk model where it has the hard drive go to sleep after a certain period and is unable to wake it up or is the hard drive I'm using not compatible with the router?

        Any help is appreciated.

        Thanks,

        Dave
