RAX120 no Web UI

Hello,

I can't get access to my Nighthawk anymore. The Web config is not accessable and I get a connection-refused by the browser. This is over the local LAN. I have tried powercycling but that didn't work. I have not recently upgrade the firmware but I think it is on auto, not sure if it can upgrade by itself.

Wifi works and cable LAN also. But new devices don't obtain new IP address anymore, so they don't connect. I also have the App on my phone and that doesn't find the Nighthawk either.

Hopefully this can be solved without factory resetting the thing.

Any help appreciated.

  • Ok. Finally got the Web UI back!

I decided to flash with tftp using an older version V1.0.0.64. This worked.

After that I was able to restore the config using a backup of the config.

I also succesfully updated the version to the latest v1.2.3.28. Thanks for the pointers plemans

What modem/gateway is the router connected to?

Are you using the "routerlogin" address or its actual ip address?

And what ip address are you using if you try?

Have you checked to ensure you're not in a double nat and the router didn't change its default ip address?

The router is connected to the internet via a fiber gateway/modem, so I do have a double nat issue. But this setup has worked fine before.

I tried both 10.0.0.1 which is the ip of the router I set it to. I have also tiried via routerlogin.

The Nighthawk does not show its web interface (no connection), I can ping it, I can get new ip address on its guest Wifi. A new phone can't get access to it via LAN Wifi only on guest wifi. Weird.

Have you tried factory resetting it and then during the install, put its ip address into the primary gateway's dmz?
