RAX120v2 - Can not add new devices
I have a very annoying problem. I can not add new devices to the wifi after the first initial setup, about 1 to 7 days. I've tried everything that doesn't involve hard resetting, but unfortunately hard resetting is the only working solution for me. Its annoying having to setup all my smart devices over and over.
An example of my problem. I hard reset the router and reconnect all my devices back to wifi. Everything goes well, no problem connecting. A few days later, I noticed I didn't connect my amazon fire cube. No luck, "connecting to wifi error, or wifi has no internet connection. I try everything that I know. Reboot router, power cycle, update firmware. Nothing works, I have to hard reset my router and setup all my devices again. Everything connects fine and my fire cube connects perfectly. A week later I buy a new smart lamp. Same problem before, it wont connect to wifi.
Can somebody please tell me whats going on with my router?

In that case, I'd go for the simplest option. You will find that Netgear recommends "bridge mode" as the preferred option.

Talk of some things like an unexplained "DMZ mode" is not for the faint hearted.

What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The make and model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?
The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.bgw320-505Thank you for your response.

It is running off a modem/router from ATT Uverse. BGW320-505
Originally I disabled the wifi on the ATT router, but I re-enabled it because I got tired of hard resetting my Nighthawk router. Now I just add any new device on the ATT router.

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

What is the first 3 characters of the routers serial number?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
