RAX42v2 5GHz band failing
Hey all,
I’ve had this router for 6 months, and in the last couple weeks, the 5GHz band is failing daily. Restarting the router helps sometimes, other times the band isn’t broadcasting at all and I have to factory reset. I’m unable to connect to it from an iPhone, iPad, desktop (with WiFi), and a Surface Pro (laptop). The firmware is up to date. Am I missing another option? I’d hate to trash this router in only 6 months.

Firmware is v1.1.4.28 ? (sometimes "up to date" reflects the device not detecting the latest firmware)
When there is a problem with the 5G WiFi, can devices still connect to the system at 2.4G?
This model has the ability to set up a WiFi schedule. Can you verify that no schedule has been defined? The Product Data Sheet mentions the ability to control the router with voice, using Alexa or Google Voice. Is this feature enabled?

The downloads page for this model shows the same Firmware version.
There are not parental controls (schedule) set, and smart device integration is disabled.
The slower band continues to work despite the 5GHz going down. I’ve also set it to 3 different unused channels based on the other networks around me.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
