Router Keeps Going Offline Model - RAXE500 — Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream AXE11000 Tri-Band WiFi Router
In last day or two... my brand new Router
RAXE500 — Nighthawk AX12 12-Stream AXE11000 Tri-Band WiFi Router
keeps going offline ... It is not ISP ...
with that I have intermitent issues connecting to the Internet. I have two EAX80 Extenders connected to it as well ... but I do not think they would be issue ... as they are just the extenders.. Currently I am directly cabled to the Router and in turn it is directly connected to DSL Modem ... all within 6 feet so it is not a WiFi issue. All equipment is brand new including Router, Extenders, and even brand New CAT 8 Cabling ...
Firmware Verson 1.0.1.52
Model Number RAXE500
Baffled here... not sure what to make of it.

the goal when you have mutliple devices is to simplify for testing.
1. What dsl modem is it? Some have their own intgrated routers and it causes a double nat
2. what actual issue is happening? Saying its going offline doesn't tell us much. Does it say "connected, no internet" does wifi stop broadcasting entirely, do devices disconnect from the wifi but can still see it, what actually happens?
Again, with any testing, simplify. power off the extenders and just go modem----->router to ensure it isn't an extender issue.
- MinuAspirantI have the same problem. My RAXE500 keep going to internet offline mode. My internet is ok. Just to test I connected my old router to another port. The old one has internet where as the new new one not. Called Netgear customer care, they just make factory reset. It worked for few hours and it become offline again. I have to restart router every time to make it online and it keep going to offline. Any help appreciated.

Have multiple call with netgear support, No luck. Due to the internet going to offline, i can't use the router. i started using my old router. Need help on this urgently if any fix for it.
- Juan31AspirantIt's not extender issue.... I have same problem with no extenders connected at all
- Juan31AspirantSame issue I'm having. Just received today with Cm2000 modem. I get into the nighthawk app and shows offline then minutes later back to online. Keeps doing it back n forth every few minutes.

I had nothing but problems with this router. Last week the Internet port died and I had to send it back and received a new one today. Set up network but the Armor software does not work with this router. As soon as that comes on it blocked all internet traffic and was even blocking the Netgear app from connecting to the router so I could try to turn off Armor. Updated firmware today. Same issue. Had to reboot and quickly get in and turn of Armor before it kicks in and locks everything down. Just received router back today and will need to monitor to see if everything else works appropriately with Armor off.
I'm having the same trouble: my RAXE500 keeps going offline too. Truthfully, I love the router and the EAX80 extender because I'm getting great coverage and near 1 gig speeds via wifi. ** I sent a private message to the moderator. **
The new firmware (V1.0.6.64_2.0.35) appears to have solved the problem; I have the Netgear Armor turned back on and haven't experienced any episodes of the router going offline.
Curious if anywhere one else is still experiencing the offline issue with their RAXE500, I update my firmware shortly after each release. This is my 3rd nighthawk and second tri-band router but anytime I have to refresh my modem signal and reboot the router is down for an hour at minimum.
I had to remove my automated network reset timer months ago.. but still anytime I reboot modem I unplug Port 5 (I use MultiGig in), as well as my Ethernet ports, turn off the router for some time and power back up and reconnect
Super disappointing I paid $500 for to do this.- aidans75AspirantSame issue still going on. Netgear’s “solution” now is to download a beta version of their firmware and beta test for them if it fixes the issue or not. They are still selling this router with no fix for the issue and no guarantee they will have a fix within the 90days it’s new after which you have to pay them for support for a broken product.
