Unable to connect new RAX50 to internet

Cannot get internet connection on new RAX50. [Netgear tech was unable to help >3 hours]

Am replacing a [working] old Linksys router.

Am connecting to fiber service via wall plug. [no modem - cable from ONT only]

The old router will connect readily to internet w/o any special settings on my part. So will my desktop pc if I connect it directly to wall outlet from ONT.

      As I indicated in my post, Netgear support tech was unable to assist after more than 3 hours.
      All new/old AC routers will connect to my ISP, no new/old AX r
      outers will. ???
