Wifi 6 Router
Hello
I was very happy with the Nighthawk Mesh Wifi 6 being able to successfully set up.
One thing I notice was that you can not manually select the band (2.4GHz or 5GHz)
I can only set up one SSID with password.
Does this mean that when connecting to the wifi within this network the router will automatically select the best band for the device based on the distance between the router/satellite and the device that is connecting to the router?
Thank you

that's it exactly. Bandsteering can move device between bands based on signal strength and bandwidth needs.

Thanks for confirming.
That is awesome!
I have not yet set up the satellite and I am not sure where to set it up...
How far is ideal from the router?
Thank you
You need at least 30 ft between the router and satellites for the roaming to function properly.
In terms of placement. I'd try several spots. I moved my setup around repeatedly to optimize placement. Reason why is things in walls (hvac, plumbing, etc) can create dead spots interference and I'm a bit OCD about optimizing :)
