192.168.100.10?

I noticed by looking at modem logs, that it appears my cable modem, which has an IP address of 192.168.100.1 when it is power cycled, may have a temporary IP address of 192.168.100.10 when it boots up. That IP address goes away I believe. I did some Google searching and couldn't find anything, I figure the experts here might know what that is all about.

I have a Netgear CM3000 modem and Orbi RBR9600 router if that matters. What's the story on the 192.168.100.10 address?

Oops typo, modem is 192.168.100.1. When it boots up it appears to for a short period of time broadcast an IP of 192.168.100.10

Not a short time.  ALL the time.  It does not "broadcast".  That is simply the IP address of the management port within the modem.

Because the IP subnet created by the modem is 192.168.1.xxx, any time a device attempts to connect to any address within that IP subnet, it is expected to be found somewhere in the subnet.  If the IP address is not in the subnet, then it has to go "out", which the modem will intercept.

Have you tried to connect to 192.168.100.1 ?
