AC-1200-C6230

Hi. I have an AC-1200-C6230. I noticed the 2.4GHz and 5 GHz lights were not on. I unplugged it as I have to do once in awhile when my Xfinity service messes up to fix the problem of being able to get connected either with wireless or ethernet. That did not fix it. So I was curious and I signed into my settings and for some reason both my 2.4GHz and 5GHz Enable SSID Broadcast were UNCHECKED. I did not uncheck them. I put a check mark in both and now my wireless works again. Does anyone know how or why this would or could happen? Please see the attached screen capture. Also does the channel settings matter what they are set to for either 2.4GHz or 5GHz? I think what they are set at now are the devices defaults. any help would be greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays! Tommiee

Not sure why/how it might have happened. We see it all the time where the wifi on/off button on the router gets hit and it causes issue but its not usually in the settings.

Eitherway I'm glad you got it working again

Hi. Happy Holidays. So yeah, I probably pushed and possibly held the wifi on/off button when lifting it to dust under. Though I don't know for sure if doing so unticks the 2.4GHz & 5 GHz settings in the wireless settings. I guess the only way to know is to do it on purpose and then check my settings. But your explanation makes total sense. Thanks, Tommiee
