AC1900 C7000V2 power light red

I had a brief power outage last night and now the modem/router will not power up. Power light is red, and I have unplugged from outlet, waited a couple of minutes and plugged back in, but no change. Does this mean the device is "fried" and needs to be replaced? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    could be. 

    what you can try. 

    disconnect the coax from the c7000. Then while the c7000 is powered on, push and hold reset for 30 seconds, unplug power while still holding reset for another 30 seconds, then power it back on while still holding reset for 30 seconds.

        it could be bad. another thing you can try is contact your isp and see if they can ping/re-provision it. 

        Always worth a chance
