AC1900-Nighthawk DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem Router Model: C7000 dual stack lite (ds-lite) compatibility

Dear All,

 

I would like to ask before I buy this device if this one has dual stack lite (ds-lite) compatiblity or not?

This is a requierment from my provider.

    I believe it is not supported.  Are you sure you need this?  DS Lite is not all that great of a feature.  It's not true IPv6.

      Yes I talked with the presales support on chat. It is not supported on this device, but the problem that is requirement by provider (German Unitymedia).

      I don't want this but my provider do, So what can I do?

        Well, try asking over on unitymediaforum.de for help.  There is much dislike for DS-LITE, there.  I saw two possible solutions:

        • Get a Fritzbox
        • Upgrade to a business account.  Then you can get a public IPv4 address.  It will almost certainly cost you more money.
