Accessing the USB drive in Linux

Hello,

 

I have a Netgear AC1900 v2 Modem Router and I can’t see the USB drive I plugged into it. On page 55 of the Netgear manual, it describes how to access the USB drive from a Windows or Mac Device, but nothing on how to do this on a Debian system (Linux Mint). Not sure who to ask so I’m starting here.

    It is shared as smb 1/cifs

    May not be supporting of Linux connections. 

    MIght check with Linux Mint support resources first to see if there is something similar to Windows/MAC path that could be used. Other wise NG isn't supporting of Linux if it's not mentioned in the user manual. 

     

    Also the C7000 gateway modem is EoL. Something you might do is to configure it for modem only use then connect up a external router that does have Linux support with USB connected drives.

      It should work fine, but you do need to make sure that you account for the fact that the router is using SMB 1.
