Anyone have Netgear honor their warranty for failed product?

Second CMD31T cable modem that failed.  Modem extremely hot. Smells like burning plastic. Cannot get any customer support to honor warranty. Just get run around say they will call me back to authorize return and I never get a call back. First model failed after 3 months (never got warranty on first one...) second failed after 8 months. Have spent hours on hold or talking to customer service with no luck. Several unsuccessful run around calls made.  Any suggestions for getting warranty honored? Maybe contacting state consumer protection office or Michigan Attorney General to look into compaint? Anyone else have any luck with warranty returns with Netgear?

  • Hi. Yeah I have a netgear product that I bought through cox. I call to check warrenty to try and get it replaced and netgear said I need to contact cox. Contacted cox and they said I purchased product from netgear and not them. And it just goes back and forth. I paid $150 for this thing. I'm on very limited budget and this crap.
