At least daily wifi stops working until reset

At least daily, sometimes a few times a day, sometimes only once, the wifi network stops showing up and all devices are disconnected.

The only solution is restarting it.

THe challenge is that we have 2 units (its a duplex - like 2 apartments) and though the router strenght is more than enough, those in unit 2 cannot enter unit 1 without the key. When we are not home in unit 1, unit 2 can be without wifi for hours.

Why is this happening?

Firmware is up to date.

We cannot figure it out.

    Hello Etf

What model are of router are you using? and have you tried to change wireless channels in the wireless settings?

      Thanks for responding!

      I'm using the c6300

I changed channels the other day, yes.

      For the first time.

It has still turned off since then, and I had to reset it.

      Thanks!

        Hello ETF

You may want to factory reset the modem but you will have to do all the settings again.  Factory reset will rule out if some setting is messed up after a firmware update.
