Bad tel 1 port? C7100V – Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router

I'm not getting a dial tone on any of my home phones.  When I reboot my modem, the dial tone returns temporarily.  But every few days I lose the dial tone again.  My internet is working fine.

Do I have a bad tel 1 port and need to replace the modem?

    You could check with the ISP. there isn't much for settings for controls with those. 

    there should be 2 phone ports on it if you think its a port issue problem with the device. 

    You can also check the voice status when it goes down to see what its saying. 

    page 67/68 of the manual goes over that.

      ISP says it's a problem with the tel 1 port.  Do you think I should just get a new modem/router?

        Did you try the other port? Or what it says under it's status when it goes down?
