    Hello SC

The upstream light typically should be solid the blinking upsteam light says that the unit is scanning for upstream channels to connect to. So are you having any issues with the internet being slow or lagging or is everything still working great? hope to hear your feedback

I've noticed the same problem. My Modem/Router is new but I was having an intermittant signal with my old one. It is a little better today.

I think it's my upload speed but not sure.

If you are having issues with the upload i would check all of your cable connections make sure they are tight also if you have a cable splitter between the modem and the wall coax this could be causing the signal issue. If this goes on may want to contact your ISP have them do some readings on the modem to make sure they are within the recommended levels.

  • Have a netgear c3700. It's 3 months old, upstream light was solid until few days ago. Called cox and they said I had a weak signal. The cox cable guy came out changed the connection on the pole. Ran new wire from pole to modem directly with only one connector. Ran test after test, everything came back above normal. But upstream is still flashing. Could modem be the problem?

      Hello SD619

Typically when that light is blinking it can not lock onto the cable signal have you tried to remove any splitters? it could be a modem issue if so and it is still under warranty you can contact Netgear support.

  • Thank you for your response... There are no splitters. The cable line comes directly off the pole to wall connector. From wall connector to modem directly..
  • Also I clicked on the link. Entered my products serial number and just got directed to a quick answer source or to post on a billboard (which I already did). So should I have clicked "replace defective product"?
