Brighthouse which is now Spectrum says they don't update firmware on any client modems

I currently have Brighthouse which was bought out by Spectrum this year, I have had many techs come over and have spent many hours trying to get a hold of someone who can update my CM600 cable modem to the version spectrum is supposed to have V1.01.12. My modem is currently V1.01.05 and there is no way to update it manually. They all act like it's something unheard of or that they just don't do that and try to switch me to their modem which is garbage.

I know the updates also solve some vulnerability fixes. Has anyone with birghthouse been able to update it or does someone know how to do it manually? I have bought many netgear devices over the years and all have had terrible security support. If I can't find way to update it this will be my last netgear purchase.
