C6300 Log under Genie Administrative Advanced Entry

The entry below is on my Log under Advanced>Administrative several times. What  does it mean? Also this entry does not contain a valid IP address that I can see. What do the string of characters mean or where does it indicate the attack came from? Other DOS entries have valid IP addresses (France, Czechoslovakia, etc). Also, how concerned should I be that I can't update my firmware because NETGEAR says the ISP has to do it and the ISP tells me to contact NETGEAR and NETGEAR is no help.

      Does this mean I need to turn on my IPv6 Firewall Protection under Advanced>Advanced Setup>IPv6?

        FE80 is an ipv6 link local address. Those are not routable outside of their own network. That means it is coming from inside your network and is already inside your routers firewall. So setting up the routers ipv6 firewall would have no effect. It is possible that another device in your network has been compromised and is being used to stage an attack.
