C7000V2 - Spectrum Cable - every night resetting at same time
I have spectrum cable - ARRIS TM602G modem with C7000v2 nighthawk modem/router combo. Every night at 12:15AM my wifi goes off line for couple of minutes.
My event Log shows:
- Resetting the cable modem due to docsDevResetNow
other logs verbiage has:
- SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire FEC framing;
- No Ranging Response received - T3 time-out;
- Overriding MDD IP initialization parameters; IP provisioning mode = IPv6
- Missing BP Configuration Setting TLV Type: 17.8;
This in general would not be an issue given the time of day - but while all of my devices reconnect with no issues - I have 4 Ring cameras - where 2 of them will reconnect and 2 will not reconnect until 12 hours later, then they reconnect automatically.
3 variables - NIghthawk, Spectrum Cable and Ring cameras.
Starting point is the 12:15 AM event log - so trying to determine if this is a spectrum issue or Netgear router issue. Of course spectrum says the netgear is defective.
I have hard re-set the nighthawk multiple times as well as cameras, etc. and to no avail. The events happen like clockwork and cannot find the root cause.
appreciate any ideas. thanks

i guess I'm curious as to why you're using 2 modems.

Either rent spectrums router for ridiculous monthly charge or get my own - which I did with the nighthawk. Worked fine for about 6 months, till recent issue.

so you're not using the other modem? Just the c7000?
Do you have a screen snip of the cable connections page and the modem event logs?
