C7000v2 Nighthawk AC1900 Cable Modem Router Dropped Wifi connections

Question

I brought this less than 1 week ago... it has been a herculian effort to get this to work somewhat correctly. During school hours both my children's chromebooks loose connection for a minute or so and they regain it back. This has happened to them at least 5 times. It is frustrating when they are trying to do school work.

Please note.. I have already did a full factory reset on the unit... just to get some of the internet speed working correctly. I have also had to change channels MANY times to get the speed where it needs to be.

Does anyone have a solve for the dropped wifi signals?

Is it just the chromebooks?&nbsp;do all devices drop?&nbsp;is it just wireless devices dropping?&nbsp;do wired device drops?&nbsp;Are the chromebooks on 2.4ghz or 5ghz?

When you first log into the c7000. you literally click on the cable connection/internet icon.
