C7000v2 Resets when ISP Performs Server Maintenance

Question

My router resets to factory defaults each time the ISP (Cox) does server level system maintenance. This makes no sense to me.

Each time, the router needs to be reconfigured back to the prior setting (SSID, PW, etc.) and then each device on the network needs to be attended to reestablish connection. This takes hours.

Help please

Id ask the ISP if they are trigging a reset when then do this from there side.&nbsp;

Per the ISP, they are not triggering a reset.

Re: Backing up Configuration, I can reset the router settings back to what they were in a few minutes. But, then, every device needs to be attended to get each to connect to the established network; even though it is exact same SSID and PW

Having a backup config is not necessarily the issue. It takes little or no time to reconfig back to same/prior settings. The issues is that once done, every single connected device needs to be manually reconnected to the reestablished network.&nbsp;Unless I am missing something, I do not think the backup config saves me the latter process. Do you know different?&nbsp;Further, this typically happens when I am not there. Hence, all my security (among other things) goes offline.

Even after you apply the back up configuration to the modem?&nbsp;

The back up configuration, after you have say done a factory reset and setup the modem from scratch with a good config, save off a back up configuration while the modem is in a good state. Then when the ISP does there maintenance, and if the modem seems to be reset, go in and apply the back up configuration. Shouldn't have to manually connect anything after this.&nbsp;
