C7000v2 resetting

Anyone having an issue when plugging in a tp or D-link causing the Router to reset itself to factory settings and the internet not working? This has happened several times. Now that I’ve left them unplugged and not touched any of the settings it’s been running fine. Just trying to find out if it’s the tp or d links or if it’s resetting because I’m personalizing the router like giving it a WiFi name and personal password. Seems like if I make any changes at all to this router from the factory settings it crashes per say...
