C7000v2 Slow speed wired and wireless
Hi Everyone.
So I set this package up on sunday and called the ISP to get the modem piece of it communicating properly with them. Afterwards, I was able to connect to the wifi and could get on the internet. We pay for 200mbps down, but I was only getting around 20 down/35 up with speed tests from various sites.
So far, I've called the ISP (Optimum) a few times to double check everything, and they are saying the modem is performing well. Good signal, good speed, everything looks fine. They aren't, however, able to see the router from their end, or how it's performing.
So, called netgear, and we checked that the channels I was on were not being used by other devices. That all checked out. Then we went into some deeper settings and changed the fragment length and RTS/CTS threshold from 2347/2346 to 2307/2306. I saw about a 5mbps improvement with those changes, but still running far under what I'm expecting.
Any ideas?

- TearAspirantHello, did you ever get a reply back in regards to this? I'm having the same exact issue as you and I can't figure it out. I wrote customer service and they suggested I buy a different model? Made no sense to me, I know this thing can handle up to 500 Mbps, it's gotta be a setting somewhere
