c700v2 - no disk in advanced>USB Storage>Advanced settings
Hello,
I am attempting to setup my c700v2 with a network folder. However, when I go to>advanced>USB Storage>Advanced settings, there is no device listed in "Available Network Folders" section. Even when I go to basic>readySHARE> there is no device listed which I do have connected to the router. The device I am attempting to connect is below:
Seagate Expansion 8TB Desktop External Hard Drive USB 3.0 (STEB8000100)
My Nighthawk firmware version is V1.02.04. I did try a 2gb flash drive (FAT32) and that DOES seem to work, but for my larger drive it does not (also formatted as FAT32, since I'll need it to read/write on both mac/win). I will need to access it remotely/ftp.
Is there something else that I would need to provide? This would most definitely be a bug and would like to resolve it asap.
Thanks for any help!
Luis

I take it you meant the C7000v2? You put c700v2.
I didn't find the hard drive you leasted on the compatible drives listing.

Doesnt' mean it won't work but I haven't seen much luck with usb drives greater than 3-4Tb.

Yes, its the c7000v2. Thanks!
Right, so now I'm wondering how do we get this to work properly from the Netgear side.

Well, this is the community forum. Members of the public helping others out. Not much we can do from the community forum. many people have requested improvement to the compatibility of the drives that readyshare can use. This is on the ideas exchange forum. here's just one for instance.
