C7800 Bootfile Error
Xfinity/Comcast stated that speeds(1GB) on their end was good and that my router had a "Bootfile Error" that Netgear should be able to correct that is not allowing all the speed to come in. Any help?

"bootfile error"?
I've used the C7800 on xfinity gigabit and it worked fine. I'd be doubting that technician you talked to. Plus with combo devices, the isp controls the firmware that runs it and they setup the partitioning. Not netgear. Its why you can't directly update combo devices.
Were you able to get it activated?
do you have a screen snip of your modem connections?
If you have any amplifiers, splitters, attenuators in line, remove them.
Preferably move the modem/router to directly where the coax enters the home and directly connect it. This prevents the chance that something in the home wiring is causing the issue.

Yes, I did get it activated through the xfinity site. It is also connected directly to the coax. When you say amplifiers, do you mean like a range extender? Honestly, I feel I may need to do an entire system reboot and maybe startover to troubleshoot from there. Everything on the genie app is showing good. The wifi drops when on facetime in the same room as the router.

so a better description of the issue will help.
1. Tell us exactly whats going on.
2. Are you using range extenders? if so, which one/ones?
3. Is it only 1 device dropping on a single app?
4. If its multiple devices, what band are they connected to, 2.4ghz/5ghz.
5. Can you take a screen snip of the C7800 modem connection page? it can help determine if there's line issues.
Again, describing what the issue is in detail, more details on the devices having the issue, and a general layout of your setup helps us to help you. Saying a "bootfile' is the issue, doesn't tell us much and more than likely isn't the issue.

You might find it useful to look in the appropriate place for your C7800 . That is a cable modem/router, not one of the "Nighthawk WiFi Routers" that this section is for.
You might find other answers over in the appropriate section for your device:
