Cable Modem Wireless Connections - No Internet - limit of 3

I have a setup with a CM400 cable modem and an N300 wifi router both at my home and my office. At my home I have roughly a dozen wireless connected devices (laptops, Rokus, phones, etc.), but in my office setup I can only get three devices to connect wirelessly and access the internet.

Is there something I'm missing in the office setup that is blocking new devices?

  • Did a factory reset and all devices are now connecting to Internet as well as wireless. Thanks for the help.

Have you tired to factory reset the router and make sure you have the latest firmware?

It is a fresh out of the box install with the firmware upgrade.

Do you have a different SSID for the one in the office than the one on the home?

"N300" is a speed, not a model number.  Ever helpful, Netgear product
packaging emphasizes speeds like "Nxxx", but that's not the model
identifier.  Or is that all one CM400 modem+router?

Three particular devices, or any three devices?  What, exactly,
happens on the fourth/other-device attempt?  What fails, "connect
    wirelessly", or "access the internet"?

As usual, showing actual actions with their actual results (error
messages, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
    interpretations.

I'll assume that both devices report the same firmware version,
    whatever that might be.
