Can not connect to WiFi. Works fine on Ethernet cable while plugged into the back of the Router!

I am new at this stuff, so please cut me some slack folks?

I think that during an Win.10 update something went wrong and all of my devices lost WiFi connectivity IE, Lap Top, Desk Top, 2 Tabs and the Cell. Like a DUFF I reset the Router to it’s Factory settings.

As I don’t have the CD, I downloaded the manul and tried to follow the instructions to do a manul Setup and got TOTALLY LOST, too many Technical Terms that I don’t understand. HELP!!!!

I suspect that now it has something to do with a Miss Match between the Old password and the New factory password, but that does not seem to explain why all the devices dropped off the WiFi in the first place. At this point, I am not even sure the password that I have on file is even the right one (???)

I sure will appreciate any help that can be given, but PLEASE keep it SIMPLE yet Concise as I am a pure Beginner at this stuff and an OLD GOAT ta boot! I apologize if this was TOO WORDY!!!      THANKS:)

    Hello F333SKIPPER

Can you provide what model your modem is. Also when you factory reset the device by holding the reset button down for 10 seconds the default login should be admin/password.

Thanks DarrenM for your response! Here is the info no the Modem! It is a Motorola, SURFboard, Model # SB5101.

WiFi was working fine till I Reset the Router.

I am aware that the user name is now “admin” and the password is “password”.

My problem is that I can not remember how to tell my computer of this change and get the two of them to talk to each other! Tried to follow the manual but could not understand the Tec. Lingo. :(
