CAX30 - AX2700 does not reconnect after Internet outage

If we have an Internet outage, the four lights, power (obviously), upstream, downstream, and Internet stay lit. The OOMA Telo box, on the otherhand, shows a red (no Internet) light as well as no Internet connection from any device on the network. The provider is Optimum - Altice. I've waited as long as 6 hours to see if the CAX 30 will reconnect. If I unplug the modem and it reboots, the connection immediately comes back. Otherwise, there are no issues with the speed or stability of the connection after the reboot. Is there a setting somewhere that I've missed that will automatically reconnect or is there something the ISP is not doing? (Technically, the CAX30 is not certified by Optimum to be compatible with their system, but they did provision it - took them three tries. Otherwise it's been rock solid.)

Could be how the ISP's cmts is booting up causing the CAX to need to be rebooted after their cmts boots.

Are they able to see it online?

Have you tried resetting it? Maybe something was corrupted in the outage

Yes. It still will not reconnect after an outage. It's more of an annoyance than anything else and we've been living with it for more than a year because the modem it replaced from Optimum was not compatible with some of our devices that require a separate 2.4 GHz wireless. It doesn't happen frequently. What the ISP Says is that they bought a system that was in need of a lot of work so to be patient with the outages. Because I worked for the previous company, Optimum is not blowing smoke on this.

        So optimum is having issues?

If so, not much to do with the modem. More their service.
