  • I gave up on the CAX30 and returned the product that was 1 week old before the FW update issue. NG Tech support was little help blaiming it on internet provider. Sad I didn't even get a chance to see thei modem/routers potential.

Thanks FURRYe38 for a possible solution and good luck to all those still dealing with this.

Just got a CAX30 in this past Monday to help test for issues. Working so far on v.2 FW. Waiting for NG to re-push v2.x FW and see what happens. 😉

I'm on SparkLight ISP. Others are testing on XF as well.

  • I see that you say to do the firmware update by a PC cable direct connection. My PC and my cable/modem/router are not even close or can be. Is this mandatory?  My current firmware shows version 1.4.12.2. You're showing the beta version as 1.4.11.2. Am I to do the beta or is this not the latest to be beta tested?

    Thanks

    Danny

Leave your current version v1.4.12.2 of FW as is. You'll be ok. I"m using same version of FW as well.

  • Hello,

I would like to know if there is any updates regarding this issue.

I perfomed all the suggested instructions to fix the issue and my WiFi is still very unstable.

As you know this is not a CHEAP router and this issue is being bothering all users for a WHILE now.

    Thank you,

    Eddie
