CM 1000 help needed

hello,

This is my first cable modem, I had century link ADSL, today I installed the CM1000, with COX, for wireless i connected the old ASUS RT-AC68R Wireless-AC1900 Router I was using previousely, internet is ok, most devices ok. BUT, ....

I have many IP cameras, and home automation hubs, which need port forwarding, and the CM1000 console doesnt offer these options, it is not user configurable.

any suggestions on how to do the port forwarding here ??

Thanks in advance

The CM1000 is a modem only it does not have a router built into it you need a router connected to it to do those type of settings.

      Thank you Darren,

I am used to Modem/Routers, this is why I was confused, thank you for your reply, I wanted the fastest available modem, so, I chosed the CM1000, but, I thought that the GUI would give me more details, or ways to configure, but, I see now that most of the setting/info I need are within the router interface. I think I should also upgrade my router I have the Asus RT-AC68 (AC-1900), any recommendation ??
